Potential architectural elements

[concluded from progress of design-study and praxis]

1. Ordinary materials
In developing country –such as Vietnam- people have much more freedom in self-building up their living environment. Human intelligence and creativeness allow them to adapt to their living’s conditions and simple-basic needs, with many ordinary and familiar materials. Agriculture-net, fishing-net, bamboo handcraft screen, fabric, plastic bottles, carton boxes, or anything can be reused… are examples. So that by observing the daily living scenes, architects would join and be involved more into living, then may discovery architectural solution for living condition improvement/ or for urban inadequacies problems. At the same time, architects can be inspired and find out a lot of potential aspects from materials themselves for contemporary architecture definition.
2. Shade – important element in tropical architecture
In tropical climate country, human is much sensitive about each level of hash of sunlight. But at the same time, this kind of climate provides the richness in flora and fauna, which transfer strong vitality of nature. As a result, protecting human from hash physical hindrance and providing confidence for human to communicate and enjoy the nature would be an important priority of need for architectural solution. Appearance of architectural form must exploit the delicateness of these level – which is defined through many layers of shade’s color – from pure black to pure white  (if we understand black as closed-space, then white as opened space).
Therefore, the richness of spaces and human’s experiences would be maximize architecture roll in contemporary living.
3. Greenery core - in urban planning
Together with rapid development, urban planning show its confusion, but energy of commercial stimulation, also get difficulties in reserving traditional value, as well as economy demands. The freedom if living by accident emphasized on greenery-core in center of each city-block – which has minimized and made balance between the distance and the need in architecture scale and urban scale. To recognize this core can become the urban-planning solution for valuable living of citizens.
